Any time we do a redesign or development project our ultimate goal is to improve a variety of measurable goals for our clients. Every client has different needs in this respect and some are much more in depth than others – where we may track conversions on call to actions, traffic improvements and custom data.
But even for our smaller clients we like to be sure that what we have done was worth the investment for them, so we will take a peak at analytics post launch to make sure they are a path to growing their online business.
We just launched our latest client at midnight on July 11, 2015 – you can see their WordPress redesign here. This was a major update for them – the owners are not very web savvy and looked to us for guidance on their limited budget to help them improve their presence and grow their clientele.
We took a peak at their analytical data today and were so thrilled with the results that we wanted to share the data.

BOUNCE RATE reduced from over 72% to just under 52% – that means when people get to the website 28% more people are actually visiting other pages than prior to their redesign.
PAGES per SESSION jumped almost 60%! That means the average visitor only visit 1.66 pages on their visit prior to the redesign, and now the visits have increased to 2.64 pages per session. The more pages they see – the better chance they will call to book an appointment!
AVERAGE SESSION DURATION is up 170%! Prior to the redesign the average time on the website was only about a 1 minute, not is is almost 3 minutes!
So, in our eyes, this was a huge success for the client in terms of being able to better promote their services and offerings. The true success will be in increased appointments booked – and we are going to see if we can grab that data from them!
