Wordpress Web Design For Nobel Womens Initiative

Nobel Women’s Initiative

The Challenges

Visit Website

Nobel Women's Initiative had an existing Wordpress website but it had not been updated in years. The content was all done as posts and categories which made the architectural structure of the website very unique and challenging.

Our Solution

To maximize their budget but still bring the content to the forefront we utilized the existing content with a variety of category, tag and page templates to truly customize the look and feel of each area. To avoid having to redo the content the tags and categories are still being used but 100% customized for each required area of the website. Activist Spotlights and Take Actions were the 2 main areas that needed improvement and without disrupting the backend we were able to completely make these pages unique from the normal categories and news section.

A customized admin featuring easy to use fields for content entry round out the ease of use by the nonprofit team for updating.

Tools Used

The following was used/provided in the development of this nonprofit Wordpress website:

1) Advanced Custom Fields Pro
2) Custom taxonomy and category page templates
3) Gravity Forms
4) Custom Post Types
5) Custom design

We feel so lucky to have found Jill and her team at 2 Dogs Design! We are a small non-profit and desperately needed some expertise to guide us in a long-overdue website refresh. From our first conversation Jill interpreted exactly what we were looking for - and went above and beyond to recommend features and layouts that we didn't realize we needed. Her sense of humour, passion and keen eye for detail made the refresh fun (it's true!) and easy. Long after the website has launched Jill is still available to us at anytime for extra support when we need it. We would recommend Jill and 2 Dogs Design wholeheartedly for any non-profit taking on the daunting task of redoing their website.
